The Grand Ohio is a 593-unit high-rise property located in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood. Constructed in 1985, the building's architecture and interior finishes dated the property. In converting to condominiums, Draper and Kramer embarked on a significant rehabilitation in order to reposition the property. All common areas received upgrades, including structural changes, new flooring, light fixtures, and wall coverings. The Grand Ohio Health Club was also completely renovated, and a new building entrance was constructed. New loft units were constructed in unfinished commercial space on the third floor, offering terraces and high ceilings. New ground floor retail storefronts were designed to highlight a more intimate feel to the building.
